As of May 2023, the broker (trsmarkets.com) has ceased operations. But you can read the article to avoid falling for similar scammers.

TRS Markets regulation, security

You’ll see the TRS Markets website at trsmarkets.com which boasts of many regulations, licenses and supervisions. If you’ve ever seen any regulatory registers, then you know that it’s false.

TRSM LTD is the owner of TRS Markets, a UK-based company. We won’t argue with this since the company was established in July 2020. To provide financial services, however, you must have more than one registered company. All UK-based brokerages must have an FCA regulation. We discovered that TRS Markets does not have any regulation after reviewing the FCA Register. The website also states that the broker is regulated by Luxembourg CSSF through Northern Trust Global Services SE. This is also incorrect. Northern Trust is a legitimate fund management company that is not connected to TRS Markets.

Financial regulators’ warnings

Some regulators notice their activities, as is the case with scam brokerages. The CSSF from Luxembourg, which mentioned TRS Markets above, issued a warning that TRS Markets was not licensed or regulated by this regulatory body. They also warned EU and EEA citizens to not fall for this scam.

A second warning was issued by the CONSOB in Italy. TRS Markets has been blacklisted and the public is warned about their illegal activities.

FINACOM, a Hong Kong-based financial institution, received many complaints regarding TRS Markets. They issued an official warning about the broker.

Fund withdrawals

We have already spoken out about complaints against brokers from regulators and financial institutions. Most of the complaints relate to withdrawal issues. We have carefully reviewed the TRS Markets website in order to find out terms and conditions for trading and withdrawing profits. The minimum deposit required to trade on the main site is $250. However, in the Account types tab we found 150. This broker offers leverage that is not in compliance with any regulatory standards. It can provide up to 1:1000 for Forex markets. Trades can be executed using the Standard and MT4 web traders.

The most suspect payment methods are credit/debit cards, wire transfer and around ten ways to deposit cryptocurrency. We can assume that withdrawal methods for deposits are the same as those for deposits. However, they aren’t even listed. The transaction can be difficult to follow once you have made your crypto deposit. It is important to be aware of it.

Chargeback Is Your Solution!

A chargeback is the retroactive cancellation and refund of a charge made using your credit card, wire transfer or some other payment methods.

By putting together a compelling chargeback strategy from beginning to end, victims of online fraud have a relatively high probability of recovering some of all of their funds lost.

However, using a trustworthy service such as MyChargeBack is critical in this endeavour as a typical chargeback process can often be complex and drawn out without the right guidance.
