Is Uptos an Unregulated Scam Broker?

Uptos is the brand of Uptos Ltd, registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. SVG doesn’t have a regulator for Forex brokers, as it is well-known. They must instead provide a license from the country of service.

We searched therefore for Uptos regulation with ASIC, FCA and BaFin. Our search did not produce any results, as you can guess. We also discovered that the brokerage was accepting EEA residents, but it doesn’t follow ESMA rules. Due to high volatility, the EU watchdog placed a limit of leverage at 1:30 for Forex pairs. Uptos can offer up to 1:400 without regard for your fund safety.

Uptos is an off-shore trading company registered in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines. It was banned in many countries, including France, Belgium, Italy, and France.

Uptos Warnings

The Italian regulator CONSOB issued warnings in May 2020 against five illegal entities, including Uptos Ltd. This site is illegally offering financial services, according to authorities.

The French regulator added uptos.com onto their blacklist the month following. They added Uptos to their blacklist as an unauthorized entity that offers Forex trading and crypto assets, without any approval.

In November, Belgian FSMA identified Uptos as an unregulated platform that has appeared online and is running scam ads on social media.

FINACOM, a Hong Kong-based independent regulator, advised investors that Uptos brokers are not safe.

Finally, warnings were republished in Spain and Denmark.
