Is FXTime a Regulated Trading Broker?

FXTime, unlike its counterpart, is not licensed. We are unable to locate the headquarters of FXTime or its official owner. We are therefore unsure of where to start our search for FXTime regulation.

We can confirm that FXTime is fraudulent after looking through the databases of several authorities such as ASIC, FCA and BaFin. The broker is not licensed and has been blacklisted by several countries.

Retail traders are restricted to a leverage limit of 1:30 in the EU, while FXTime boasts that they can offer leverage rates from 1:100 up to 1:500. This is a sign that you are dealing with fraud. You cannot ask for a reimbursement from authorities if there are any problems.

FXTime is an online brokerage that offers unregulated trading. For illicit activities, the firm was banned in Austria, Germany and Canada.

FXTime Warnings

FXTime was warned by the FMA of Austria in May 2021. Although the company claimed that they were based in Austria, authorities denied this claim.

In July the same year, the German BAFin ban the scheme. According to the license provider the company claims to be located in the UK and solicits German investment without requiring any regulations.

In March 2023, Canada’s regulator for Quebec issued a warning about fxtime.io. It also warned that webtrader.fxtime.io was illegal. Securities Administrators raised the alarm to a national level.

FXTime Speads and Trading Account

According to the company, the spread is as low as 0.0 pip and comes with low commissions. We are unable to verify this because there is not a Demo account. We don’t believe this account, as everything else has been incontestable.

FXTime offers 3 types of accounts:

The minimum deposit required to open an account is $250. This is the minimum amount you will be required to deposit with unregulated brokers. They will then create financial plans for you and convince you to continue investing until you are broke. You will soon realize that your broker is a fraud and they will disappear.
