Is TradeTime An Unlicensed Trading Broker?

TradeTime has had several domains, addresses and names throughout its history. In the FCA warning, for example, we see an address in Bulgaria while Spanish authorities found the broker offshore. The website currently shows an address from Turkiye.

We know one thing. There is no TradeTime regulation with the Bulgarian FSC or Turkish CMBT nor Tier 1 Authorities such as FCA ASIC and BaFin.

We have good reason to believe TradeTime is owned and registered by Trade Time LLC in Saint Vincent and Grenadines. TradeTime’s choice of the island is understandable, since the island does not have a regulatory authority for the Forex and binary options markets.

The broker offers leverage up to 1:1000, with a maximum of 1:120 for crypto. In the EU this limit is 1:30 FX, and 1:2 digital coins. TradeTime is a scam that operates offshore. The UK and Spain have banned the brokerage for providing unlicensed trading services.

TradeTime Warnings

Two separate regulators issued their own warnings in November 2020 regarding the TradeTime scam. The UK FCA states that this firm solicits UK investors without the appropriate authorization. This means that clients are unable to file a complaint or receive compensation from the dedicated fund.

The Spanish National CNMV has also warned its citizens, stating that TradeTime offers certain financial services to their citizens without authorization.
